KidsTown is Getting...Magical!
Fantasy Weekend means magic has taken over the building, including KidsTown! At 10:30 and 11:30 am, join us for Storytime with a Fairy, a magical adventure where your little learners will learn the parts of a fairytale and even their own fairytale creatures! Then, at 2:00 and 3:30 pm, unravel the history of storytelling in the Bookbinding Workshop where the little learners will bind their very own book.
Elegy for the Unseen: The Art of Extinct Species
Explore the memory, mystery and scientific significance of species that have vanished from our world in the brand-new exhibition, Elegy for the Unseen: The Art of Extinct Species. Located in Fusion: A STEAM Gallery on Level 3, guests will get to see art of extinct species ranging from prehistoric giants to lesser-known lifeforms.
The Dome by Dr. Phillips Charities
With a variety of giant screen films, guests can marvel at epic films that blend powerful storytelling and vivid imagery into a cinematic experience that goes above and beyond traditional theaters. And if you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to dive deep into the ocean or soar high in the sky and into the galaxy, OSC’s full dome presentations and giant screen films are the way to go. While the entire dome is used as a screen, guests are surrounded with visuals, animation and live action.
Immersive Science Activities Await!
Head up to the Flight Lab from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm and experience Virtual Nature Trail. After this virtual scavenger hunt walking tour of the University of Central Florida Arboretum, you’ll know all about local flora! Then, spark your curiosity in Dr. Dare’s Lab from 11:00 am - 5:00 pm for Self-guided Experiments.
